 Smithfield Public College within the Municipality of Brighton has acquired a $10,000 whole donation in the direction of constructing a brand new playground.

 Whereas Smithfield entered the McDougall Group Contest, which awarded three prizes totalling $10,000 to native charities, non-profit organizations or group tasks, the college was unsuccessful at receiving a prize.

 Anne Butwell of RE/MAX Quinte Ltd., Natasha Huizinga of Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty, Brokerage, and Brighton Councillor Doug LeBlanc had promised to match the funding if Smithfield received.  Butwell and Huizinga every donated $2,500 every. LeBlanc and his household donated $5,000.
